Immediately following your procedure, under the pigment, the skin is red and pigment has been deposited into the layer of skin containing dead skin cells; combined giving the appearance of darker and more prominent color. tThis may last up to a week after the treatment while the initial healing process takes place. It may feel sunburn like afterwards however there should be minimal discomfort. Redness and swelling are minimal.

IMPORTANT: Once the scabbing or flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely overlay the treated area. It may seem as though the tattooed area has entirely disappeared. Within 1-2 weeks, the pigment will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates.

Generally on days 3-6 your treated area may begin to itch and the pigment may appear somewhat raised. Don't scratch them.

Minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin will last approximately one week. The complete healing process takes about 4-6 weeks, at which time the true color of the tattoo is evident. The top layers of skin will begin to shed on about day 3-5, and you will see a loss of color. During this process, your tattoo will fade 30-40%, soften and lighten. You may think you have lost too much color. Be patient, your skin is still regenerating and exfoliating. No matter what, DO NOT peel your skin.  Let it peel on its own. To pull the skin off, you will remove 'plugs' of dermal pigments, as it has not detached itself completely at this point.
Wait at least 6 weeks to see the true color, as it will appear to take on new strength.

Permanent cosmetic procedures may last anywhere from one to three years. Different factors will affect the length of pigment retention. In order to maintain shape and saturation of pigment, clients typically receive a color refreshing treatment between 18-24 months. As with any tattoo, exposure to sun will make the color fade faster. Skin type, lifestyle, color choice, capillary health and chemical peels are also factors.  Please keep in mind that each client’s skin responds differently to treatments.  The following information acts as a guideline only.

Initial Healing Period

6-8 weeks post procedure is the best time to critique your brows as you have had a full cycle of cellular regeneration in which the tattoo has now become part of the dermis, seen under the epidermis. Many clients may need more than one treatment. Microblading clients have a complimentary perfecting session held between 6-8 weeks. All other permanent cosmetic procedures have an option for a touch-up between 8-12 weeks at the client’s discretion.  Some clients will be perfectly pleased with one session.  Others will desire more definition or added color.  If you choose to receive a touch-up, we will check how your skin has taken the color and make necessary adjustments. Older clients or those with previous cosmetic tattoos may need to come back more than once. Most of our clients’ cosmetic tattoos stay true to color as they lighten.
